Beer & Hops
Most of the hops grown in New Zealand is produced here in the nelson Region. Its because of our great climate! That means world-class craft beer, with 10 local breweries to try.
We like to think of ourselves as the Craft Brewing capital of New Zealand. Our hops is well regarded and exported around the world.

With around 25 boutique wineries, Nelson’s cellar door tastings are a must. Taste crisp whites in the Waimea Plains or rich Pinot Noir in the Moutere Hills.

Nelson Saturday Market & Wednesday Farmers Market

Saturday Market 8 am–1 pm (in the Montgomery Car park, next door to us): Coffee, fresh produce, art, crafts, live buskers. Nelson’s vibe at its best.

Wednesday Farmers Market 8am-1pm (Halifax Street next to the Elma Turner Library) : All about homegrown, seasonal, delicious food.

Penguino Gelato and Icecream Cafe
Indulge yourself with superb gelato and sorbet, from traditional vanilla and boysenberry to manuka honey and beyond.
Penguinos has won many awards for their delicious icecream. They are always coming up with new flavours and even have an R18 version now!
But best of all, they are just across the carpark from us - enjoy!
